My French press shattered on a Tuesday morning and I had to rethink everything
Honestly, I was making my usual morning coffee last week before school, and I had just poured the hot water into my French press when the glass carafe just cracked right down the middle. Hot coffee and glass shards went everywhere across my kitchen counter, and I stood there in shock for a good minute. I've been using that same Bodum press for like 4 years, got it for $25 at a thrift store, and it never gave me any trouble before. So I had to scramble and dig out an old pour over cone that I bought on a whim from a shop in Portland back in 2019. It actually made a cleaner cup, but man, the whole process took way longer and I nearly missed my first period class. Has anyone else had a favorite brewing method just totally fail on them out of nowhere?
