Update: When the barista made my drink wrong but didn't charge me for the upgrade

I ordered a regular coffee, but they gave me a fancy latte by accident and only rang up the basic price. I mean, I could have just taken it and saved a few bucks, but idk, that didn't sit right with me. I went back and pointed out the mistake, paying the difference, which felt kinda silly but honest. Maybe it's just me, but figuring out that honesty over small things builds trust stuck with me.

That point about building trust with strangers is huge. It's easy to be honest with people you know, but those little choices with someone you'll never see again show your real character. I've found that acting with integrity in those small, invisible moments makes it a lot easier to do the right thing when the stakes are actually high. It's like building a habit you don't have to think about.

Yeah, that feels awkward but right. Being straight on small stuff does build trust, even with strangers. Good on you for that.

Going back to pay the difference is the real test.
