Just dropped $200 on a dash cam after a close call on the highway

It caught a guy running a red light and swerving into my lane... now I'm wondering if I'm obligated to share the footage with his insurance company if they ask. What would you do?

Wait, he ran a red light and swerved into your lane? That's insane driving. You absolutely should send that footage. His insurance needs to see how bad it was. Holding onto it just protects a guy who could cause a serious wreck.

Totally get that hesitation, but honestly I'd send it over. That footage is solid proof of what happened, and it could really speed up the claim process for you. Plus, if he's driving that recklessly, his insurance company should know. It feels like the right thing to do to prevent it from happening to someone else.
