The one comment that made me change how I torque head bolts
A old-timer at the shop told me I wasn't lubing the threads right on a 6.0 Powerstroke, and I'd been using just oil instead of the proper moly lube. Switched to the right stuff and haven't had a single gasket issue since - anyone else get called out on something small like that?

Did you try cleaning the bolts with brake cleaner before applying the moly lube too?

Did you also hit the threads with a wire brush first before cleaning?
