Just realized I've been overcomplicating injector swaps on the 6.7 Powerstroke for years
Last week in the bay, I stopped using the special slide hammer tool and just tapped them out with a brass drift and a regular hammer in half the time. Anyone else find those 'required' specialty tools are sometimes just for selling more tools?

Makes me wonder how much of that "proper way" stuff is really about getting guys to spend money on tools they barely use. @spencer_johnson22 I bet your old shop's lead tech had that thing dialed in just to feel important with it.

My old shop swore by that slide hammer. Wasted so much time on it.

Used to think the same thing. Then I saw a guy pull a bearing in like two minutes with one. Totally changed my mind.
