Appreciation post: a stubborn 6.7 Powerstroke in a Denver shop last week made me finally respect the value of a proper scan tool over just guessing.
I wasted three hours swapping sensors on a hunch before my boss, who saw me sweating over it, handed me his fancy scanner and said 'just read the codes, kid,' which showed a single, clear fault in the turbo actuator wiring that I fixed in twenty minutes.

That scanner saved you half a day. Good tools pay for themselves by cutting out the guesswork. Stop throwing parts at a problem and just read the data first.

Ever had a scanner point you right at a cheap sensor instead of chasing a wiring ghost?
