Why does nobody talk about how much bandwidth a single security camera actually eats up on a business network

I was setting up 8 PoE cameras for a small warehouse in Austin last month and found out each one was pulling a steady 15 Mbps even on the lowest resolution setting, which blew my mind since the vendor told me they'd only use half that.

You ever notice how everything tech related is always way heavier than they say? Like smart home gadgets, they tell you it's plug and play but then your wifi tank's and you're resetting bulbs every other week. Cameras are the worst though, especially on a business network where you've got 8 of them eating bandwidth like it's nothing. I had to run a separate switch just to keep them from choking out the rest of the system, vendor specs are a joke.
