I finally figured out why my office VLAN was dropping packets like crazy
Spent two whole days trying to figure out why our guest network kept dropping connections. Turns out someone plugged a cheap unmanaged switch into the wall jack that was supposed to go straight to the patch panel. Found it behind a filing cabinet after tracing cables from the server closet. Who else has dealt with mystery switches killing their network performance?

Hang on, someone just plugged a random switch into the wall without telling anyone? That's wild lmao. I can't imagine taking a shortcut like that and just hiding it behind a filing cabinet like nobody would notice.
