Can we talk about stacking VLANs in a small office, I had it backwards for years

I used to run separate switches for each floor of our 12 person office in Austin because I thought VLANs would slow things down or get too tangled to manage. Last month I finally tried a single managed switch with 4 VLANs after our IT guy showed me the port config on his laptop, and the whole setup handles traffic better than the old mess. Has anyone else resisted VLAN trunking in a small shop and then realized it simplifies things once you stop overthinking the broadcast domains?

Same here, spent years daisy chaining switches like a rookie. VLANs are just labeled lanes, not wizard magic.
