A vendor at the Columbus expo told me my switch stack was a single point of failure and it stuck with me
I was at a regional commercial networking expo in Columbus about 8 months ago, mostly killing time at booths. One guy running a small cabling outfit glanced at the photo of our rack I had on my phone and said flat out, "You have one uplink and one power feed, so you have zero of both." He didn't try to sell me anything, he just pointed at the two spots in the picture and shook his head. I checked our setup that Monday and he was right, every switch in the stack hung off the same 20 amp circuit. What's the cheapest way you guys have added a real second uplink without ripping out half the closet?
