TIL that third wave coffee shop in Portland charges $8 for a pour over and calls it 'accessible'

Went to this spot on Hawthorne last weekend and the barista spent 5 minutes explaining the bean origin like I was in a lecture. Has anyone else walked out of a place that fancy feeling like you need a translator to order a simple cup of coffee?

Get where @ivan_perez is coming from, but honestly the bean nerds are part of the deal there. If you just want a cheap drip, hit the cart on the corner instead.
