Spent $40 on a burr grinder upgrade and it finally clicked

I had this old blade grinder I got for like $15 at a thrift store, and my morning coffee was always bitter or weak. Last week I picked up a cheap manual burr grinder for $40 new, and the first cup I made was way smoother. I just took my time grinding beans for a pour over and could actually taste the light roast notes, not just burnt stuff. Has anyone else switched from blades to burrs and felt like it changed everything?

Bruh same thing happened to me and now I can't even drink coffee from a blade grinder anymore.

Exactly hit $40 too on a Hario Mini Mill last month and my dark roast actually tastes like chocolate instead of ashes now. I don't think I can go back either.
