Picked a manual espresso maker over a fancy machine and honestly no regrets
I was torn between a Flair and a Gaggia Classic for months, ended up going with the Flair Pro 2 since I work outside all day and wanted something portable. Pulled my first real shot this morning and it actually had crema, which felt huge for a $200 gadget. Anyone else go the manual route and stick with it?

Totally agree, manual is the way to go for a lot of people. My Flair Neo has been through three moves and still pulls a decent shot, no fuss no breakdowns. Takes a bit of elbow grease but you really dial in your technique over time.

Honestly I used to be ALL about electric espresso machines. Thought manual ones were just for hipsters or people with too much time on their hands. But hearing how your Flair Neo has held up through three moves and still works perfectly without any breakdowns... that actually really changed my mind. There's something to be said for not having to worry about a pump or heating element failing on you. I might have to look into one of those for my next setup.
