Just watched a guy ruin a $300 bag of single origin beans in 10 seconds flat

He ground them on a blade grinder and it turned into dust instead of a consistent grind, which basically nukes all the delicate flavor notes before you even brew. Has anyone else had to bite their tongue watching someone murder expensive beans like that?

Is the guy okay or did you have to pull him off the blade grinder before he tried to use it on a Gesha?

Wait til you hear what he almost did with a Red Bourbon. I mean, blade grinders are already a crime against coffee, but a Gesha? That's like using a chainsaw to open a letter. Maybe it's just me but idk how people get that far into specialty coffee without knowing the basics. He's fine now though, we caught him before any beans got sacrificed.
