Finally hit 500 cups on my home espresso machine this morning

I keep a little tally on my phone and when I pulled a shot today it put me at 500 exactly. That's a lot of coffee over maybe 2 years with my old Gaggia. I used to think the store bought espresso was fine but making it myself saved me a ton of money. Has anyone else tracked their brew count and been surprised by the number?

Evanfox is right about the cost savings adding up. Just a small correction though, 500 shots over 2 years means you're averaging less than one a day, which for a home machine is pretty typical not surprising. The tally is cool to see but what matters more is that you're enjoying the process

Tracked mine for a bit but lost count around 300. 500 is solid though especially on an older machine. The cost savings are real, I did the math once and my machine paid for itself in about 8 months. Nothing beats that first morning shot either.
