Can we talk about how long a simple descale took me?

Bought a bottle of Dezcal for my Breville Barista Express. Thought it would be a 20 minute job like the manual said. Took me 3 hours because the machine kept erroring out after step 2. Had to run the cycle 4 times before the light turned off. Anyone else have this issue with Breville machines?

Ugh, that sounds about right. I swear these "quick" tasks are a trap. My machine ate through a whole bottle of descaling stuff before I just gave up and let it sit overnight. Those error codes are like a secret language nobody bothered to translate. I ended up just running a vinegar cycle through it the next morning out of spite, and it finally cooperated. Love the thing, but it's a drama queen when it comes to maintenance.
