Broke my French press this morning and switched to a pour over
I dropped the carafe while washing it and shattered the whole thing. Used a cheap V60 cone I had in the cupboard and honestly the coffee came out cleaner and less muddy. Has anyone else made the switch after a breaking accident?

@cole_bailey85 brings up a good point about the grit. I never noticed how much silt was in my French press coffee until I tasted a clean pour over side by side. But once you switched, did you find yourself missing that full body the French press gives? I tried a metal filter with my V60 to get some oils back but it still wasn't the same. Curious how you adjusted your grind or water ratio to make up for it.

Used a cheap V60 cone I had in the cupboard" - sounds like that cheap cone just upgraded your whole morning routine lol. Honestly that "muddy" French press issue is real, I never realized how much fine grit I was drinking until I switched. Bet you're getting cleaner cups now without even trying.
