Thought chimney brushes with plastic bristles were junk until a job in Buffalo changed my mind
Two seasons ago I would have laughed at anyone pulling out a plastic brush. Metal or nothing, that was me. Then I got called to a house in Buffalo with a flue that was lined with that newer flexible stuff, and my metal brush was tearing it up bad. Old sweep on the crew handed me his plastic bristle brush and said just try it. Cleaned the whole run without a single scratch. I felt like an idiot. Been keeping a set in the truck ever since. Anyone else switch over, or am I late to this?
