Polypropylene vs steel wire brushes - the poly brush lasted longer for me

After burning through a steel brush in 3 months on a heavy creosote job in Albany, I switched to a polypropylene one. It's still going strong after 6 months with no bent bristles. Anyone else had better luck with one over the other?

yo same here!! i had a steel brush die on me in like 2 months cleaning out a grill in Rochester, the bristles got all bent and weird. switched to polypropylene and its been 8 months now with no issues at all. the poly stuff just doesnt rust or warp like steel does when you use it on heavy gunk. ive used it on some seriously caked on creosote and it holds up way better than any steel brush ive tried.

Stainless steel brushes are trash for heavy grill work. Polypropylene is the way to go, it handles the heat and crud way better. Switched mine out a year ago and haven't looked back.
