Springfield got a bargain and you got a lesson. Seven hours for 350 bucks is rough math. After gas, supplies, and wear on your gear, you made less than minimum wage. Your old boss gave you a solid rule for a reason. Next time that phone rings, remember how tired you were after that day.

Well, your old boss was right. Seven hours of work for $350 is basically working for free after you factor in gas and supplies. That's what, fifty bucks an hour before costs? Not great.
