Saw my friend try a fast creosote clean with some strong chemicals. It ruined his flue lining and needed a full repair.

Learned that slow manual brushing with the right tools gets it done safely. It took me a whole afternoon but the chimney passes inspection every time now. Sometimes the slow way is the only right way.
