Took me 11 days to hang a $6 roll of peel and stick wallpaper in my hallway
I measured the wall in my hallway 4 times and somehow still cut the first strip 3 inches too short, so I had to order a second roll and wait for it to ship. The tricky part was the light switch plate, because the paper kept bubbling around it and I redid that one spot 5 times with a credit card. Is there a trick to getting peel and stick paper to lie flat around outlets, or do you just live with the bubbles?
My buddy tried the same thing in his kitchen and spent a whole weekend fighting one outlet. What finally worked for him was cutting the paper with a little extra around the box, then pressing it down and trimming the edges with a sharp blade after it was stuck. He also turned off the power and loosened the plate a bit so the paper could tuck behind it instead of stretching over it. The bubbles he did get, he poked with a pin and smoothed out with his thumb, and most of them faded after a few days. Not perfect, but way better than the credit card thing.
