TIL you can paint your kitchen countertops for under $30

My laminate counters were looking real tired with these yellow stains I couldn't scrub out. I was about to drop $500 on new ones but found a kit at the hardware store for $28. It's basically a special paint with a top coat you roll on yourself. Took me about 4 hours on a Saturday with the prep and drying time between coats. It's been 3 months now and it still looks good through regular cleaning with wipes and dishes. Has anyone else tried the concrete look paint kits or do they hold up just as well?

Hold up, wait, $28?! Yo I'm sitting here reading that and my jaw literally dropped. I've been looking at those dinky peel and stick tiles for my kitchen island thinking that was the budget route but this sounds way better. Four hours on a Saturday is nothing for that kind of savings too. I honestly thought the concrete look kits were just a gimmick but if yours is holding up after 3 months maybe it's not.
