That peel and stick backsplash tiles are a nightmare to remove
I put up peel and stick backsplash tiles in my kitchen near Dallas for about $60 and they looked great for a year. But when I tried to pull them off last weekend to paint, the adhesive left a sticky mess and tore chunks out of the drywall. Has anyone else found a painless way to get these things off without wrecking the wall?

Heard a guy from a home depot clinic say heat guns work for this.

Wait, is he talking about the heat gun trick for getting old paint off trim or for something else entirely? Did he say what kind of heat gun or just a regular one from the tool aisle?
