Spray painted my old kitchen light fixtures last Tuesday and they look brand new
I had these ugly brass flush mount lights in my kitchen from when the house was built in the 90s. Last week I finally got tired of looking at them so I took them all down, took them outside, and gave them a few coats of matte black spray paint. Cost me $8 for the can of paint and maybe 2 hours total including drying time. I was really nervous the paint would look cheap or start peeling but it turned out great. The lights look modern and sleek now like the expensive ones at the hardware store. Has anyone else tried painting their fixtures or did you just replace them completely?

Matte black paint fixes everything, just did my door handles the same way.

Matte black really does make everything look cleaner, especially on handles where you see fingerprints all day. Once you start blacking out little trim pieces it gets addicting, next thing you know you're doing the grille and badges too. Pretty sure my whole exterior is gonna end up matte black at this rate.
