Spent $40 on cheap vinyl floor tiles and they peeled up in a month

I bought those peel and stick vinyl tiles from the big box store thinking I'd save a bundle on my laundry room floor. Installed them on a Saturday and they looked great for like two weeks. Then the edges started curling up where my wife walked in with damp shoes from the garage. By week four I had to pull up half of them because they were sliding around. Anyone else had better luck with a specific brand or prep method for those things?

nah man i gotta disagree with you on this one. i put those cheap Lifeproof tiles in my mudroom two years ago and theyre still holding up fine with daily foot traffic from my dogs and muddy boots. you gotta clean the floor with denatured alcohol before you stick anything down or the adhesive wont bond right to the dust and residue. also if you installed them on a cold concrete slab without letting them acclimate to room temp for 48 hours first thats gonna cause curling no matter what brand you buy.

i mean sure but do you really need to do all that prep work for some peel and stick tiles lol. seems like overkill for a mudroom floor that's gonna get trashed anyway.
