Showerthought: My bathroom tile paint job started peeling after 6 months

I spent $30 on that special tile paint kit, but maybe I should have just saved for new tiles. Has anyone else had a cheap fix totally backfire on them?

Consider it a thirty dollar lesson in shortcuts.

That's a cheap lesson honestly @the_mason. Some shortcuts cost way more than thirty bucks. Better to learn it now.

Oh man, I see what you're saying but I gotta push back a little on calling it a cheap lesson. Thirty bucks isn't exactly cheap for everyone right now. That's like a full tank of gas or a few decent meals. And the real cost isn't just the money either - it's the time wasted, the frustration of having to start over, and the hassle of dealing with something that should have just worked. I think we sometimes brush off money lost as "cheap" when it still stings, especially if you're on a tight budget. Just saying, let's not act like thirty bucks is nothing to people.
