Showerthought: I painted my kitchen cabinets with a $4 foam roller instead of a brush and now I feel stupid for waiting 3 years
Everyone on here kept telling me to use a brush for cabinet doors, so I did that on the first two and it took me a whole Saturday plus a sore wrist. Out of frustration I grabbed a cheap foam roller from the dollar store and finished the other 6 doors in about 90 minutes with zero brush marks. The paint laid down way smoother and I used less than half a quart on the whole job. My neighbor saw them last week and asked if I paid someone, which honestly felt pretty good. Turns out the brush advice is for trim and edges, not flat panels like I had. Has anyone else ditched the brush on cabinet faces, or am I the only one who screwed up the order?
