Painted my kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them, best money I saved all year
Everyone told me I was crazy for not just buying new cabinets from IKEA. But I spent $60 on paint and hardware from Lowe's, sanded everything down over a weekend in March, and they look brand new. Sure it took elbow grease and I had to wait 3 days for the primer to dry in the humidity here in Florida. But I got the exact color I wanted and saved like $800. Has anyone else gone against the grain on a big DIY project and had it work out?
