My trip to the hardware store in Bakersfield turned into a free paint lesson

I was trying to match a paint color for a bathroom and got totally lost in the color chips. This older guy named Frank, who worked there, saw me and spent 20 minutes showing me how to mix leftover paint samples from the 'oops' shelf to make new colors. I walked out with a gallon of a perfect light green for only $9. Has anyone else tried mixing those mis-tinted paints?
