My kitchen looked like a hotel lobby until I spent $12 on a paint sample
Last Tuesday I got fed up with my boring white kitchen and bought a single can of 'Mossy Bank' green sample paint from the hardware store. I painted just the inside of my open shelves, not the whole wall, and it took about an hour. The pop of color against my white dishes changed the whole room for less than a lunch out. Has anyone else tried a small, bold paint move like that instead of a full room?

I always thought you had to paint a whole wall, but your shelf idea is actually brilliant.

Wait, isn't it such a relief to find a simpler way? I mean, painting a whole wall feels like a huge promise you have to keep. I tried it once and got so tired halfway through. Doing just the shelf back feels way more doable, and you can change it up way easier too.

Right? It makes a huge difference without all the work. You could even try painting just the back of the shelf for a pop of color.
