Tell me about it. My neighbor looked at my new railing like I was crazy. Some folks just want a plain box and call it a day.

So did your neighbor at least pretend to like it, or were they just giving you the stink eye the whole time? Man that's rough, I swear some people think a house is just a roof and four walls. My uncle saw the porch I built last summer and asked if I was trying to win some kind of decoration contest. I told him I just wanted a place to sit without staring at a flat piece of wood. I guess we're the weird ones for wanting a little character in our lives.
