My aunt showed me her thrift store curtain trick and it blew my mind

Honestly, I was at her place in Springfield last month and her living room looked totally different. She said she got tired of her plain windows and went to a local thrift store. She found these huge, patterned tablecloths for like $4 each. She just clipped them onto the curtain rods with binder clips she already had. Tbh, I thought it would look cheap, but the fabric was way nicer than my basic store bought ones. The whole room felt warmer and more put together for under twenty bucks. She just said, 'Sometimes you gotta see things as something else.' Has anyone else tried using something weird as curtains? I'm thinking about trying bedsheets now.

That line about seeing things as something else really hit home. My first apartment had those awful plastic blinds. I used a couple of old maps from a yard sale and some clear packing tape to make them look less sad. It wasn't perfect, but it felt way more like my place after that. Getting creative with what you have can make a big difference.
