Appreciation post: Dollar store mirrors for a hallway trick
I was super skeptical about those cheap mirrors from the dollar store but I saw a blog post about using them to make a small hallway look bigger. I grabbed six of them for about $7 total and arranged them in a grid on my narrow hallway wall. It honestly makes the space feel twice as wide and brighter too since they bounce light around. Has anyone else tried something like this with cheap mirrors or other dollar store finds?

Three of those things fell off my wall in the middle of the first night and shattered everywhere... total pain to clean up. @palmer.henry I don't get how people trust dollar store frames for anything permanent, they're basically cardboard and plastic that can't hold the glass.

...and honestly I had the exact same experience with those cheap mirrors from the dollar store. Used them in my last apartment's hallway that was basically a closet width and it worked way better than I expected. Just make sure you get those command strips or double sided tape that actually holds because the frames are super light and flimsy, learned that the hard way when one fell off at 3am. Also a little tip from my trial and error, clean the wall really well first and let it dry before sticking anything up, otherwise they'll peel off after a few days.
