Volunteered at a community garden and one older lady changed how I see weeds

She pointed at a patch of dandelions and said 'those are just salads waiting for someone to pick them' right there by the compost bin in June, and I've never looked at my own yard the same since, so has anyone else had a random stranger flip their whole approach to weeding?
