The guy at the Tacoma plant sale told me he names his ferns after exes

I laughed at first but then he pointed at a sad Boston fern called Karen and said it droops every time he forgets to water it. Now I'm wondering if naming my plants would actually make me take better care of them, does anyone here name theirs or is that just a him thing?
