Our office kentia palm doubled in size after one simple change
We had this sad little kentia palm in the corner of our Boston office for like two years, it barely grew and kept dropping yellow leaves. Then a coworker who used to work at a greenhouse pointed out it was sitting right under a AC vent and getting blasted with cold air every day. We moved it about six feet away to a spot with indirect light and stable temps, and within 3 months it put out 7 new fronds and nearly doubled its height. Has anyone else rescued a plant just by changing where it sits?

Oh man, I'm gonna push back on this one. I've had plants that thrived right under vents, like my peace lily that literally bloomed nonstop for a year while getting blasted with cold air every day. Maybe your kentia palm was just having a rough couple of years and would've grown anyway once it got used to the office, you know?
