Hit 50 native wildflower species in my backyard this spring and I'm shook

I've been casually planting native seeds for about 2 years now, but I finally counted this weekend and got to exactly 50 different species popping up in my tiny suburban lot... I never thought a patch of grass could turn into that much biodiversity. Has anyone else tracked a milestone like this and gotten way more than you expected?

50 species is no joke. I hit 32 last year in my yard and thought I was doing something special. You basically built a whole ecosystem in a suburban lot.

Honestly, 50 species is wild. Tbh, I think you might be counting a bit fast there, @dixon.willow. 32 is still huge though, don't sell yourself short. I've been doing this for a few years too and I feel like people forget that some of those "species" might be different varieties of the same plant family, not true separate species. Still, way to go to both of you, that's a ton of life in a small space.
