Update: Client flipped on the cut halfway through
So this guy sits in my chair and says he wants a taper fade. Halfway through, he changes his mind and asks for a textured crop instead, messing up my flow. How do y'all deal with clients who switch up styles like that?

Did the client say why he changed his mind halfway through? Sometimes if you can figure out the reason, like if he got nervous or saw something he didn't like, it helps you handle it better next time.

But honestly, sometimes people just flip flop. They see a cheaper price somewhere else, or their cousin tells them a different idea, and that's it. We don't need to dig for some big, hidden meaning every single time. It's not always a sign of a deeper problem with the work. Trying to figure out a "reason" for every little change just stresses you out more than it helps.

Ugh, that's so true. I had a friend who would overthink every text message like @the_elizabeth suggests, and it drove her nuts for no reason. Sometimes a change is just a change.
