Tried a new way to hold my shears during a skin fade and it actually worked
Switched to a pencil grip for the whole blend after seeing it on a video from a shop in Austin, and the lines came out way smoother. Anyone else use a different grip for certain cuts?

Switching grips can totally change your control for different sections. I mean, I'll use a palm grip for bulk removal but go back to a scissor over comb grip for detail work. It just feels more stable for the kind of small, precise cuts you need there.

You know what, @nathanbennett, that makes total sense. I always feel like my control is way off if I try to use the same grip for everything. Switching it up for detail just gives you that extra bit of steadiness you need.
