Tried a new clipper blade gap on my buddy and it came out perfect
I've been using the same .5 blade gap for years on fades, but last week I tried a .7 on a client with really coarse hair. The blend smoothed out way faster and he said it was the best cut he'd ever had. Anyone else adjust their gap for different hair types?

My buddy tried a .7 on thick hair and it saved him 20 minutes of blending.

Olivia just a heads up, a .7 isn't really a standard guard size on most clippers. Usually you see .5, 1.0, then maybe a 1.5 if the brand makes a half guard. So if your buddy was using a .7 that might be a Wahl or Oster specific guard that's actually closer to a 1.0 in reality. Either way if it shaved off 20 minutes of blending that's still a win for thick hair.
