The $15 clipper oil I ignored for 3 years finally proved me wrong

I always used the cheap Wahl oil from the beauty supply, figured expensive stuff was a gimmick. Last month I grabbed a bottle of that Andis Cool Care Plus on a whim for $15. After a week, my clippers were running quieter and cutting smoother than they had in years. Anyone else hold out on switching lubes and regret not doing it sooner?

Wait, you actually went three years without changing the oil? I thought I was bad for going six months but three years is insane. Did your clippers not start sounding like a dying lawnmower or something?

Yeah actually oil in clippers isn't the same as car oil. Clipper oil is super thin and mostly just for cleaning and a tiny bit of lube. But still, three years is way too long. Those little blades need fresh oil every few uses or they get hot and dull fast.
