Spent $200 on a 'professional' barber cape that was basically a trash bag
Bought this thing online last month, some fancy brand with all the right words. First client, the velcro neck strip ripped right off during a cut. Second, the static cling was so bad it stuck to the chair and nearly pulled the whole cape off. It's just cheap vinyl with a logo. Total waste. What's a cape that actually lasts more than a few weeks?

Sounds like your cape was auditioning for a magic trick, the disappearing barber routine. Nothing says professional like wrestling a trash bag off a paying customer. Maybe the static cling was a feature, to really make the haircut a shocking experience. You'd think for two hundred bucks they could at least make the velcro stay on. That's just paying extra for the chance to look silly at work.

Yeah, that static cling thing is the worst. I had a cape that would just grab onto every hair on the floor between clients, looked like a fuzzy monster by lunch. Ended up just going back to the basic nylon ones from the supply store, the kind without any fancy branding. They're not perfect but at least they don't try to undress your client for you.
