Saw a photo of my first fade from 2015 and cringed so hard

I was looking through old pics on my phone last night and found the first fade I ever did on my buddy Mike. The blend was so rough it looked like a staircase, not hair. What did you guys do back in the day that makes you shake your head now?

Man I called that the grand canyon fade, all those harsh lines.

Honestly @torres.drew nailed it, the grand canyon fade is too real. Ngl I had the same thing happen with my first attempt, it's painful looking back but we all gotta start somewhere.
