Kid asked for a reverse mohawk and I panicked for a second
This 8 year old sits down Saturday and dead serious says he wants his head shaved but the stripe down the middle left long. I thought he was pranking me, turns out his whole skate team is doing it for a video. I did the cut but kept trying to make it look less ridiculous and he kept yelling no, more hawk. Has anyone else had a client demand something that sounds like a dare and you just went with it?

Did you happen to ask what the video was for before you started buzzing? My nephew is 9 and on a skate team too, and their whole thing with videos is getting the most views, so the uglier the haircut the better for them. That stripe probably looks terrible to you but to that kid it is the best part, and if you had cleaned it up his friends would have roasted him for looking too normal. Kids that age would rather have a bad haircut that was on purpose than a good one they did not ask for.
