Finally got a clean fade on my nephew after three tries
He's got really thick, curly hair that I could never blend right. Last time I saw him, I used a new technique with my Wahl clippers, keeping the lever open and going slower. The difference from his last cut six weeks ago is night and day. What's your go-to method for dense, curly hair like that?

Man, a clean fade on thick curls is no joke, what guard did you start with? My first try on my cousin's hair looked like I used a lawnmower with a blindfold on, lol. I finally got it decent by using the corner of the blade for the blend and going over it like a hundred times. Open lever and going slow is key for sure, feels like it takes forever though.

Ugh, I feel that pain, my first fade was a total disaster too.
