Clipper vs straight razor for bald fades - which one do you lean on?
I spent the last 2 weeks trying both on my clients at the shop in Austin, and the clipper gives me a faster blend but the straight razor leaves a cleaner finish, so which side do you guys fall on?

Have you tried sharpening your straight razor more often? That's what changed the game for me. I used to get those little tug-and-pull moments that messed up my fades, but once I dialed in the edge, it glides way better than a clipper ever could. The clipper is faster, no doubt, but for bald fades I feel like the razor gives you that crispy line that stays clean for an extra day or two. I keep a clipper handy for the bulk removal, then switch to the razor for the actual fade work and clean up. It takes a little longer but my clients in Phoenix have been way happier with the results.
