Appreciation post: The scissor sharpener who fixed my shears in 15 minutes

Had a guy at the local barber supply show last week. He took my old Kenchii shears and had them cutting like new in under 15 minutes. Charged me $20. Anyone else found a good mobile sharpener or do you all mail yours out?

Found a guy at a pet grooming expo last year. Fixed my thinning shears right there while I watched. Charged $25 cash. He had a little belt sander setup and some hand files. Wasn't fancy but he knew his angles. Way better than shipping them off and waiting a week. Try asking around at local beauty schools or trade shows if you got one coming up.

Buddy of mine found a knife sharpener at a farmers market who fixed her sewing scissors for a fiver.
