Appreciation post: the 20 minutes I spent re-leveling my chair paid off big on a walk-in
Had a walk-in last Tuesday around 4pm, guy wanted a skin fade and a hard part. I got about halfway up the back and noticed my chair was drifting a hair to the left, which had been bugging me for weeks but I kept putting it off. Stopped right there, grabbed my 5/8 wrench, and leveled the base in about 20 minutes while he waited. Best part was the part line came out razor straight on the first pass instead of me chasing it. Anyone else ever let a wobbly chair mess with their fades way longer than it should have?

A 5/8 wrench and 20 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon is not what fixed that part line, the part line came out clean because you slowed down and paid attention. Barbers cut crooked parts all day on chairs that sit dead level. The wobble was in your head more than the base, but hey, if it got you to focus then it did its job.
