Vent: customer in Mesa handed me a $20 tip and a lecture about her fridge
Went out to a place in Mesa on Tuesday for a fridge that wasn't cooling. The lady had already pulled everything out and stacked it on the counter in Tupperware. She stood there the whole time I was checking the condenser coils and told me her husband passed two winters ago, and that he used to do all this stuff himself. Before I left she pressed a $20 in my hand and said to me, "Don't skip the coils just because they look clean." I've been thinking about that one all week. Anybody else get a tip that came with something you actually held onto?

Had an old guy tip me a buck and told me to always check the drain pan before I leave, said it saves a callback. I do it every time now and he was right. Sounds like she just wanted somebody to take their time the way he used to.
